Biography
Malcolm James McCormick, known as Mac Miller, was an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and singer born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1992. He entered Pittsburgh's hip-hop scene in 2007 at age 15 and signed to Rostrum Records in 2010, releasing the mixtapes K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever in consecutive years. His debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, released in 2011, became the first independently distributed debut album to reach the top of the US Billboard 200 since 1995. He died in 2018.
