Marilyn Burns was born in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1949 and died in 2014. She worked as a film, television, and stage actor. She portrayed Sally Hardesty in Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released in 1974. In 2025, that film was inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
