Biography
Mel Ferrer was born in Elberon, New Jersey in 1917 and worked as an actor, director, producer, screenwriter, journalist, and writer across film, theatre, and television. He appeared in Scaramouche (1952), Lili (1953), and Knights of the Round Table, and starred opposite Audrey Hepburn in War and Peace (1956). He produced Wait Until Dark (1967). Ferrer died in 2008.
