Mitchell Ryan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1934 and died in 2022. He worked as a film, television, and stage actor across six decades. He played Burke Devlin in the 1960s gothic soap opera Dark Shadows and later portrayed Edward Montgomery, the father of Greg Montgomery, on the television series Dharma & Greg. He also appeared as General Peter McAllister in the 1987 film Lethal Weapon.
