Biography

Moses Eugene Malone Sr. was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1955 and played professional basketball from 1974 to 1995 in both the ABA and NBA. As a center, he won the NBA MVP award three times, made 12 NBA All-Star teams, and was selected to the All-NBA Team eight times. He led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA championship in 1983, earning both league and Finals MVP honors. Malone was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
