Ned Beatty was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1937 and died in 2021. Over five decades as an actor, he appeared in more than 160 film and television roles, working across cinema, television, stage, and voice acting. His film credits included Deliverance, White Lightning, All the President's Men, Network, Superman and its sequel, Back to School, Rudy, and Shooter, along with voice work in Toy Story 3 and Rango. He played Stanley Bolander as a series regular in the first three seasons of the NBC drama Homicide: Life on the Street.
