Nick Bollettieri was born in Pelham, New York in 1931 and worked as a tennis coach. He created a tennis boarding school and coached a number of players including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova. He also served as a traveling coach on the professional tour, including a two-year stint with Boris Becker. He died in 2022.
