Biography

Norman Ross was born in Portland, Oregon in 1896 and died in 1953. He competed as a swimmer and water polo player, and later worked as a broadcaster. At the Inter-Allied Games in June 1919 near Paris, he won five events, and he earned three gold medals at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. During his career he set thirteen world records and won eighteen U.S. national championships.
