Biography
Patrick McGoohan was born in Astoria, New York in 1928 to Irish parents and was raised in Ireland and England. He worked as an actor, director, producer, and writer across film, television, and theatre, beginning his career in Britain during the 1950s. He played secret agent John Drake in the television programme Danger Man, which ran from 1960 to 1968. McGoohan created, produced, and starred in the television series The Prisoner, broadcast from 1967 to 1968, in which he played former British intelligence agent Number Six. He died on January 13, 2009.
