Biography
Paul Ekman was born in Washington, D.C. in 1934 and worked as a psychologist, anthropologist, sociologist, opinion journalist, non-fiction writer, and teacher. He held a position as a professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and studied emotions and their relation to facial expressions. In 2002, the Review of General Psychology ranked him 59th among the 100 most eminent psychologists of the twentieth century. He died in 2025.
