Biography

Paul Rand was born in Brooklyn in 1914 and worked as a graphic designer and teacher. He created corporate logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Morningstar, Westinghouse, ABC, and NeXT. He taught graphic design at Yale University from 1956 to 1969 and again from 1974 to 1985, becoming professor emeritus. He died in 1996.
