Biography
Peggy Lipton was born in New York City in 1946 and worked as a model, actress, and singer. She appeared in numerous television shows during the 1960s before taking the role of Julie Barnes in the crime drama The Mod Squad, which ran from 1968 to 1973. For this role, she received four Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama in 1970. She died in 2019.
