Sally Kellerman was born in Long Beach, California in 1937 and worked as an actor across film, television, and stage for six decades until her death in 2022. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in Robert Altman's M*A*S*H (1970), and subsequently appeared in several of Altman's other films including Brewster McCloud (1970), Welcome to L.A. (1976), The Player (1992), and Prêt-à-Porter (1994). Beyond her collaborations with Altman, she appeared in television series such as The Twilight Zone (1963), Star Trek (1966), Bonanza, and 90210 (2008), and in films including Last of the Red Hot Lovers (1972) and Back to School (1986). She also provided voice work for Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird (1985).
