Biography

Stanford Moore, born in Chicago in 1913, was an American biochemist and chemist. He shared the 1972 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Christian B. Anfinsen and William Howard Stein for research at Rockefeller University concerning the structure of the enzyme ribonuclease and its chemical structure's relationship to catalytic activity. He died in 1982.
