Biography
Steven Weinberg was born in New York City in 1933 and worked as a theoretical physicist and cosmologist. He shared the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics with Abdus Salam and Sheldon Glashow for contributions to the theory of unified weak and electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles, including the prediction of the weak neutral current. He died in 2021.
