Theodore Robert Bundy was born in November 1946 in Burlington, Vermont, and died in January 1989. Between 1974 and 1978, he kidnapped, raped, and murdered dozens of young women and girls. His typical approach involved persuading targets that he needed help or impersonating an authority figure; he would then lure them to his vehicle, render them unconscious with blows to the head, restrain them with handcuffs, and drive them to isolated locations where he sexually assaulted and killed them.
