Biography
Teresa Wright was born in New York in 1918 and worked as a film, television, and stage actor until her death in 2005. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1942 for her role as Carol Beldon in Mrs. Miniver, and received nominations in the same category for her debut in The Little Foxes and for Best Actress for The Pride of the Yankees. Her film credits included Shadow of a Doubt and The Best Years of Our Lives. She received five Photoplay Awards, two National Board of Review Awards, and two Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars.
