Biography
Theodore Freeman was born in Haverford, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1930. He worked as a military flight engineer, aircraft pilot, and military officer, and was selected as a NASA astronaut in 1963 as part of the agency's third group. Freeman died on October 31, 1964, in the crash of a T-38 jet while holding the rank of captain.
