Victor Young was born in Chicago in 1900 and worked as a violinist, composer, arranger, and conductor. He received the Academy Award for Best Music Score of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture for Around the World in 80 Days, awarded posthumously at the 29th Academy Awards in 1957. Young died in 1956.
