Biography

William Joyce was born in Brooklyn in 1906 and worked as a radio personality, journalist, and politician. He moved from New York to Ireland and then to England, where he joined Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists in 1932. At the start of the Second World War, he moved to Germany and took Nazi German citizenship in 1940, subsequently working as a broadcaster for Nazi propaganda. He died in 1946.
