Biography
Zero Mostel was born Samuel Joel Mostel on February 28, 1915, in Brooklyn, New York. He worked as an actor, comedian, and singer across film, television, and stage. Mostel received three Tony Awards and a Drama Desk Award during his career, and received nominations for a British Academy Film Award and a Golden Globe Award. He was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1979, after his death on September 8, 1977.
