History & Significance

Glyndŵr's first major military success. Outnumbered on the slopes of Pumlumon, he repulsed a combined English and Flemish force. The victory transformed what had seemed a local rebellion into a national rising. Glyndŵr's ability to win in mountain terrain that negated English cavalry superiority became his tactical signature throughout the revolt.
