The Battle

History & Significance

After the fall of Harlech Castle and his Denbigh raid, Jasper Tudor was forced to retreat through Gwynedd pursued by Yorkist forces under Lord Herbert. Several running skirmishes occurred as Jasper tried to reach the coast and escape by sea. He eventually escaped to France taking the young Henry Tudor with him.
