The battle that marked the turning point of the Glyndŵr revolt. The Welsh were ambushed after crossing the Usk and suffered their worst defeat of the war. Glyndŵr's brother Tudur was killed, his son Gruffudd captured and imprisoned in the Tower of London where he died. From this point the revolt contracted geographically and politically, though it continued for several more years.
