William Herbert mounted the final campaign against Jasper Tudor's Welsh Lancastrian resistance in 1468, recovering Harlech Castle and driving Jasper into exile. Herbert's campaign used Welsh Yorkist troops extensively and demonstrated that Welsh soldiers could be mobilised for Yorkist service through the right lord.
