Watling Lodge fortlet is a Roman auxiliary fortification situated near Tamfourhill in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland. Constructed in the second century AD as part of the Antonine Wall system, this small fort served as a supply and communication post along the frontier that marked the northernmost extent of the Roman Empire under the emperor Antoninus Pius. The fortlet measures approximately 18 metres square and is characterised by a single surrounding ditch, with archaeological evidence indicating timber buildings within its defences. Its strategic location on the Antonine Wall demonstrates the sophisticated network of installations the Romans deployed to control the Lowlands of Scotland.
