Barp is a Neolithic chambered cairn situated approximately 275 metres south of Loch an Ath Ruaidh near Daliburgh in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The monument dates to the Neolithic period and belongs to the class of megalithic structures characteristic of early farming communities in Scotland, which utilised stone-built chambers for communal burial purposes. Chambered cairns of this type represent some of the earliest monumental architecture in Britain and reflect the religious and social practices of Neolithic societies.
