The bell barrow, the more substantial of the two earthworks, consists of a central mound surrounded by a ditch, whilst the disc barrow features a more modest raised central platform also encircled by a ditch. Both structures date to the Bronze Age and represent funerary monuments characteristic of the period's burial practices. The site demonstrates the variety of barrow forms used in prehistoric Surrey for the interment of elite individuals and their grave goods.
