Bellmuir is a post-medieval settlement, field system and cairns complex located approximately 900 metres south-east of Auchencrieve in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The site comprises the archaeological remains of a rural settlement with associated agricultural field divisions and cairn monuments, representing the material culture of early modern farming life in the north-east of Scotland. The field system reflects the organisation of arable and pastoral land during the post-medieval period, whilst the cairns may derive from both clearance activities and burial practices. The settlement remains are now largely visible as earthwork features in the landscape, providing evidence of settlement patterns and land use in the region during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
