Bordesley Abbey is a ruined Benedictine monastery located near Redditch in Worcestershire, founded in the late twelfth century as a daughter house of the Benedictine order. The site preserves substantial remains of the abbey church and conventional buildings, including parts of the cloister and domestic structures that reflect the characteristic layout of a medieval monastic community. The abbey functioned as a religious and economic centre until its dissolution in 1539 during the Reformation, after which the site gradually fell into ruin. Excavations and archaeological investigation have revealed the abbey's plan and material culture, contributing significantly to understanding of medieval monastic life and administration in the West Midlands.
