Bourne Mill is a Grade I listed post-mill located near Colchester in Essex, dating from the early seventeenth century. The structure represents a significant example of early modern milling technology, with its timber-framed body mounted on a brick base that allows the mill to rotate to face prevailing winds. The mill retains much of its original machinery and was in use for grain milling until the early twentieth century. Its survival makes it an important record of Essex's agricultural and industrial heritage during the early modern period.
