Sheards Barrow is a bowl barrow situated approximately 730 metres north-east of Presford Farm in Hampshire. The monument dates to the Bronze Age and represents a funerary monument typical of the period, when such earthen mounds were constructed to cover burial deposits. The barrow survives as a circular earthwork, though like many such monuments it has been subject to degradation over millennia. Bowl barrows of this type are amongst the most common prehistoric funerary monuments found across southern England and provide valuable evidence for Bronze Age burial practices and settlement patterns.
