Brae Broch is an Iron Age roundhouse located in Strath Carnaig west of Mound Junction in Sutherland, northern Scotland. The broch dates to the later Iron Age and represents the distinctive architectural tradition of circular stone towers that characterise the prehistoric settlements of northern Britain. The monument survives as a ruined structure, retaining evidence of its characteristic double-walled construction typical of broch architecture. Like other examples of this monument class, it would have served as a defended domestic dwelling and possibly as a focal point for the local community during the Iron Age period.
