Brookhill house demesne is a medieval motte and bailey castle located in Lisburn, County Antrim. The monument consists of an earthwork mound typical of Norman fortifications established across Ireland and Britain in the medieval period. The site sits upon bedrock of Palaeogene extrusive rocks, comprising mafic lava and tuff formed during volcanic activity millions of years before the castle's construction.
The motte, a raised earthwork, would originally have supported a timber or stone tower serving as the stronghold of the demesne. The bailey, or defended courtyard, remains partially identifiable in the landscape, though the monument's archaeological condition reflects its age and subsequent land use. Such castles functioned as centres of lordly power and agricultural administration across the Norman territories of medieval Ulster.

Brookhill house demesne survives today as a rare example of medieval lordly settlement in the Lisburn area, preserving in its earthworks evidence of the Norman colonisation and feudal organisation of the Irish landscape during the medieval period.
