Bruan is a broch situated approximately 85 metres south-west of Tulloch Lea in Caithness, Scotland. This Iron Age defensive structure belongs to the broch tradition that flourished in northern Scotland during the later Iron Age, roughly between the 1st century BCE and 1st century CE. The monument represents an example of the distinctive drystone tower architecture characteristic of brochs, which served as fortified domestic or communal settlements in their period. The site's location in Caithness places it within one of the primary concentrations of broch construction in prehistoric Scotland.
