Castle Haven Dun is an Iron Age fortified settlement located in Cromartyshire in the Scottish Highlands. The site consists of the remains of a dun, a type of prehistoric circular stone-built fortress characteristic of Iron Age Scotland, positioned to command views across the local landscape. Such structures typically date from the later Iron Age, roughly between the 1st century BC and the early centuries AD, and served as defended domestic and possibly communal centres for local populations. The dun at Castle Haven represents an important example of Iron Age settlement patterns in the northern Scottish regions, where such fortified homesteads formed a significant part of the material culture of the period.
