Cessford Castle is a fifteenth-century stronghold situated in Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders. The castle was built by the Ker family, a prominent border clan, and served as a defensive residence during the turbulent period of Anglo-Scottish border warfare. The structure features a substantial stone tower with characteristic features of late medieval fortification design suited to the needs of border security and family residence.
