Chichester Dyke, Broyle earthwork, section at Brandy Hole is a linear defensive earthwork of Iron Age date situated near Chichester in West Sussex. The surviving section extends approximately 230 yards eastward from the railway crossing at New Fishbourne and forms part of a substantial defensive system associated with the Iron Age settlement at Broyle. The monument consists of a ditch and bank construction typical of Iron Age hillfort and settlement defences, reflecting the fortified landscape of pre-Roman Sussex. This stretch represents one of the documented sections of what was a more extensive dyke system protecting the settlement complex in the Chichester region during the later prehistoric period.
