Crinan Canal is a canal feeder system constructed in Argyllshire, Scotland, designed to supply water to the Crinan Canal. The canal feeder draws from Loch a' Bharain and forms part of the infrastructure associated with the Crinan Canal, which was engineered in the early nineteenth century to provide a navigable waterway between the Firth of Clyde and the Sound of Jura. The feeder channel represents an essential component of the canal's hydraulic system, enabling the maintenance of adequate water levels for vessel passage. As a work of early industrial engineering, it demonstrates the considerable civil engineering efforts undertaken in Scotland during the period of canal expansion.
