Dun Baravat is a prehistoric dun or fortified settlement located on the shores of Loch Baravat on the Isle of Great Bernera in Ross-shire, Scotland. The monument dates to the Iron Age and comprises the remains of a circular stone-built defensive structure typical of the Atlantic Scottish tradition of dun construction. Its position on the loch edge suggests a settlement strategy oriented towards both inland and maritime resources, common amongst Iron Age communities in the Hebrides. The site remains an important archaeological record of the early historic settlement patterns of the Western Isles.
