Fair Cross is a Cornish stone cross of medieval date located in the parish of St Ervan. The monument stands approximately 420 metres west-north-west of Tregidgeo Farm and represents one of the numerous wayside crosses that characterised the landscape of medieval Cornwall, serving functions both practical and devotional. The cross survives as a worked stone structure typical of the period, though like many such monuments it has experienced weathering and alteration over the centuries. Its continued presence in the landscape testifies to the enduring importance of Christian monuments in rural Cornwall from the medieval period onwards.
