Falcon Stone is a cup-marked stone and barrow located 500 metres south-south-east of Millhill in Perthshire, Scotland. The monument lies on bedrock formed from the Stratheden Group, a sequence of interbedded sandstone and conglomerate deposits laid down during the Late Devonian period. This geological foundation would have been exposed or thinly covered when the monument was constructed, offering suitable ground for both the barrow's construction and the working of the stone surface.
Cup-marked stones are among the earliest rock art in Britain, typically created during the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods. The cups—small, circular depressions—were pecked into the stone surface using stone tools, often without additional markings.
