Fordel, barrow and ring-ditches 550m WSW of is a Bronze Age funerary and ceremonial monument complex located in Fife, Scotland. The site comprises a barrow, or burial mound, together with associated ring-ditches which represent the remains of further Bronze Age burial structures or ceremonial enclosures. Such monuments are characteristic of Bronze Age funerary practice in Scotland, dating broadly to the second millennium BCE, and reflect the ritual and social importance placed upon burial and commemoration during this period. The survival of these earthwork features provides evidence for prehistoric settlement patterns and mortuary practices in the Fife region.
