Garbeg is a settlement located 1160 metres north-north-west of Garbeg Cottage in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The site lies on bedrock composed of psammite and pelite of the Glenfinnan Group, a Neoproterozoic formation that characterises much of the Scottish Highlands. These metamorphic rocks provided the local building stone and reflect the ancient geological foundations upon which highland settlement developed.
The settlement sits within a landscape of weathered metamorphic terrain typical of Inverness-shire.
