Gelligaer Common Roman Road is a Roman transport route located in Glamorgan, Wales, that formed part of the communications network serving the Roman military installations in South Wales during the later first and second centuries AD. The road is associated with the Roman fort at Gelligaer and facilitated movement of troops and supplies across the upland terrain of the Glamorgan plateau. The surviving sections of the road preserve evidence of its original construction, including metalling and drainage features characteristic of Roman military roads. The route represents an important element of Roman infrastructure development in the conquest and subsequent administration of Wales.
