Glenbuck Ironworks is a scheduled monument representing the industrial heritage of 18th-century Ayrshire. Located 470 metres north-west of Glenbuck Home Farm, the site comprises the remains of iron smelting and working facilities that operated during the period of Scotland's expanding iron industry. The works exemplify the exploitation of local mineral resources and the integration of industrial production into the rural Ayrshire landscape during the eighteenth century. Archaeological investigation of the site has revealed structural remains consistent with ironworking activity, including evidence of furnaces and associated operational infrastructure characteristic of early modern iron production facilities.
