Greyfriars Priory is a Franciscan friary founded in Lincoln during the thirteenth century, representing an important establishment of the mendicant orders within the medieval city. The site, located within Lincoln's historic urban landscape, was occupied by the Grey Friars community until the dissolution of the monasteries in the sixteenth century. The priory would have comprised conventual buildings arranged around a cloister, though substantial remains are not now visible above ground. The monument survives principally as an archaeological site, with its location and former extent preserved within the modern urban topography of Lincoln.
