Hawridge Court ringwork is a medieval earthwork monument located in Buckinghamshire. The site comprises a circular or oval bank and ditch formation typical of ringwork castles, a fortified settlement type common in England during the 11th and 12th centuries. Ringworks served as defensive strongholds for local lords and were often constructed rapidly as alternatives to more elaborate motte-and-bailey castles. The earthworks at Hawridge Court represent an important example of the modest but strategically significant fortifications that characterised the Norman period and its aftermath in southern England.
