Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery at Maker Heights is a Second World War defensive installation located near Devonport in Cornwall. The battery formed part of the extensive anti-aircraft defences protecting the strategically vital naval dockyard and naval base at Devonport during the 1940s. The site comprises the physical remains of gun emplacements and associated structures typical of heavy anti-aircraft batteries deployed during the latter stages of the war. Such installations were essential elements of Britain's air defence strategy against German luftwaffe attacks on this major military installation.
