Heavy Anti-aircraft gunsite, 400m west of Sutton Fields Farm, is a Second World War defensive installation located in Cheshire. The site dates from the period 1939 to 1945 and represents the fixed anti-aircraft defences established across Britain during the conflict. Such gunsites were constructed to protect industrial and populated areas from air attack, forming part of the integrated air defence network that developed throughout the war years.
